Alpacas, Posies &Pines is conveniently located just off Route 70 East and about 40 minutes from Columbus, OH & Ohio State University.  We are always happy to lend ourselves to help educate anyone interested in learning about our wonderful friends, the alpacas.

Owning alpacas and living the "alpaca lifestyle" became a reality for us about four years ago, when the first  group of five  alpacas gently trodded off the trailer and into our hearts and pastures.  The rest, as they say, has been an adventure.

A quaint, pretty farm house originating in the 1850's with an added sunken garden full of "posies" and a waterfall is the backdrop for a modern "Alpaca Club-Med" where the pampering of our furry friends never stops.  Two new barns were constructed just for the alpacas and the animals haven't complained yet about all of the fans, the wading pools (cleaned out daily!)  and the frequent garden-hosings they are so fond of in the Summer!

Our crew of critters curiously inspect all the customers coming down our drive to STOKES CUSTOM HOSE, another of our adventures into the farming community which brings many a farmer with a broken hydraulic hose on his tractor to our door.

We like to say that we specialize in Happy, Healthy Alpacas, of the Huacaya persuasion.  We haave color ranging from pure white and fawn to silver gray and pure black.  Our breeding stock and herdsires are friendly and "approachable."

This is a very "Hands-On" farm and we know our animals and each of their personalities very well.  We try to at least touch or handle every animal in our care a little every day so we always have that personal contact that we believe is so important in our caregiving.

Our Boarding Families enjoy other "perks" here at APP.
We offer a discount on our own standing herdsires, along with discounts on merchandise from the on-site farm store.  Further, should a boarder choose to market and show their own alpacas to a prospect, they have access to ultilize our "Agistment Center" for their meetings, along with access to brochures, etc.

We care for and respect your alpacas with the same loving care we provide for our own.

As of June, 2006, our farm tested BVD FREE.  All alpacas coming in
will need to be tested BVD-free prior to their arrival for the protection of all of our friends.

With plenty of clean, green acreage, there is room for crias and adults alike to romp and play, but always have easy access to the barn, water & food ANYTIME!  We have lots of room for expansion and are able to handle your needs immediately.

We are also the owners of a 5 year old llama gelding, named Micah, who is the babysitter and sentry of the ladies particularly the new moms & their crias.  We sleep much better knowing he's on duty 24/7

Owners of our boarders are welcome to come to work with or visit their animals on a very flexible schedule.  If you will eventually be taking your alpacas home with you, we encourage you to come and work with us when we are giving shots, trimming toenails or at any vet visit.  Learn by doing, and we're willing to help!  Your success is our success too!!
